Located atop the village of Megève, Golf 18 through the Domaine du Mont d’Arbois is the oldest mountain golf course. It was started by Noémie de Rothschild in the 20s, and then redesigned in 1964 by Henry Cotton, a professional golfer. Nurtured like a garden in French, golf is distinguished by its exceptional view from Mont Joly to the Aravis chain. Deployed on 50 hectares, the course is drawn on a plateau and presents homogeneous surfaces of a maximum of 150 meters, at an altitude of 1,320 meters, which provide a comfortable game that will soothe golfers. Thanks to the respectful management of the environment, the fauna and flora are preserved, thus offering a course that is perfectly grounded in the mountain decoration.
“Since its creation in 1964, the Golf du Mont d’Arbois has been established as a reference course offering optimal playing conditions in the mountains. The drawing of the course is naturally rooted in the decoration of the Mount Arbois plateau. The 18 long, 6,000 -meter -long holes for one by 72 make it a real “challenge” for amateur and professional golfers. » endorsed by Matthieu Azzolin, director of Golf du Mont d’Arbois.
