Tampa Bay Lightning in final after win over Rangers in Game 6 East

It was a first since 1985. Thanks to its success (2-1) in Game 6 against the New York Rangers on Saturday night, Tampa Bay joined the grand final of the NHL playoffs for the third consecutive time. The Lightning will meet Colorado Avalanche, the (4-0) winner of the Edmonton Oilers in the West.

« We deserve to win the match. That was the feeling we had from the beginning to the end. Between periods, we think that our desire to win ends up taking the upper hand. Tampa Bay captain Steven Stamkos, author of his team’s two goals, tasted after the game.

The first match of the grand finale is on Wednesday. The Florida team, double holders of the Stanley Cup title, are looking to pursue their reign.
