Horschel takes the head of the Memorial with five strokes ahead

American Billy Horschel posted a very good 65, or seven strokes under the ring, to take the lead Saturday with five strokes ahead of the Memorial Tower, accounting for the USPGA, at the end of the third round on the course of Muirfield Village in Ohio.

A magnificent little game allowed Horschel to total seven birdies on a day marked by no bogeys, pushing the American to first place with 203 shots (-13) after 54 holes.

The player, aged 35 and 17th in the world rankings, is in search of a seventh victory at the PGA Tour. He set the tone from the first hole Saturday by throwing his ball over a distance of more than 13 meters to block his first bird.

A gripping contrast with his game the previous week during the Charles Schwab Challenge when he hadn’t been able to get through the cut. «I don’t really like to cut the cut, it’s as simple as thatSaid Horschel, author of the only bogey after three tours this week. L’Américain Aaron Wise and l’Australien Cameron Smith were in touch with cinq coups de retard.
