Les Red Panthers beat India 4-0 in their 2nd match against the Olympic semi-finaliststheir 12th Pro League Hockey match, Sunday in Wilrijk.
Like Saturday in their 2-1 victory, the Belgians dominated the head-to-head encounter, this time turning on their number of occasions. This success also confirms their 5th place in the competition, acquired since Saturday, but especially their world 6th historya status that Belgian women have never known.
The Panthers had a dream come true. As of Saturday, it was Barbara Nelen, on the back of an Abi Raye center, who apparently gave the example to her teammates (2nd). Charlotte Englebert followed up 1 minute later, avoiding 2 defenders to arm a back in the right corner defender defended by Indian captain Savita (4th).
A 5-star goal, allowing Raoul Ehren’s defenders to lead 2-0 after 200 seconds of play. A Belgian 3rd goal was awarded by the field referee, before being canceled for one foot preceded by the video referee (7th). In the 2nd quarter, a shot from Vanessa Blockmans was first fired by Savita, before going back to Nelen and then to Raye who pushed the ball to 3-0 (19th). The 3rd Belgian pc, acquired by Pauline Leclef, allows Stéphanie Vanden Borre to once again demonstrate her sleep qualities by transforming the phase in the right corner of Savita (23rd).
After the break, an Alix Gerniers center allows Amber Ballenghien to score his 5th goal of the one -off competition (36th). The Belgians were then forced to keep the ‘clean sheet’. Choosing to play against it, they still created several opportunities to avoid the distance, but without success.
