France wins the Mauritius-Revello tournament thanks to its victory over Venezuela

Seven years after the band at Presnel Kimpembe, the France U20 team postponed the Maurice-Revello tournament to 2-1 against Venezuela, in Salon-de-Provence. The meeting, however, had a bad start for Bernard Diomède’s men.

From the 8th minute the Bleuets were surprised by the South Americans. Telasco Segovia took advantage of a poor appreciation from the French defense and its goalkeeper Melvin Zinga to open the scoring. The second period was the best invoice for Tanguy Kouassi and his partners.

After a break in the Venezuelan defense, Maghnes Akliouche put his strike to the race of the right post to equalize (53rd). The French team then took advantage of its digital superiority followed by a second yellow card from Emerson Ruiz (77th) to take a definite advantage. Serving on a touchdown, Nathanaël Mbuku trumpeted Samuel Rodriguez with a mi-high shot from the entry of the surface (79th).

This success is France’s thirteenth in the competition. Its striker Sékou Mara finished as the best scorer of the tournament while the author of Venezuela’s first goal, Telasco Segovia won the best player of the tournament trophy.
